Former Ulsterbank building on Main street Newcastle now being redeveloped
We happened to be passing through Newcastle heading into the mournes for a walk this week.
It was great to see a former Ulster bank in a prime site has been bought, demolished and a new development under way, all within 12 months of the bank closing.
The development by Alterity from Belfast, is a change from the norm for them, with this development in a small market town and not a city.
The development off apartments and ground floor commercial, will be completed in the coming 6 months.
We look forward to a coffee on the ground floor..... after one of our walking trips in the area at the end of the year.
