Free parking helps Portadowns High Street Mall
Following the introduction of 2 hours free parking at Portadown’s High Street Mall, 503 space car park, the centre has seen benefits.
Over the last four months customer footfall numbers are up on average by around 9%, with the occupiers in the scheme seeing a improvement in customer numbers in there stores, which is translating into improved trade in the main.
With most town centre’s having paid parking either public or private maybe this will be the way forward to help boost our NI town centre’s into attracting more shoppers back and boost trade for the local business.
Portadown has seen the benefit, maybe others would too.
