Murphy making beer
At Murphy we are always looking to learn new things and experience new industry's.
When we wanted something new this quarter to learn about, we decided we need to now more about beer.
By this we don't mean the drinking of it, but how modern beers are being produced. So,we signed up for the beer academy at the Kinnegar brewery in Donegal.
While we are all use to drinking the same type of beer in Ireland for many many years, Murphy are glad to see the craft beer movement growing, bring the soul back into beer making, with this academy bring back found memories of our days as a student home brewer in Scotland.
The brewer brought us through the theory and skills involved in beer making on a small scale and the surprising part he allowed us to assist in making a patch that would be on our shelves in the coming month. It was a great.
Watch out for a special red rye craft beer in the coming months and don't forget to buy it and let us know how it tastes.
